Chiwa Bistro - Newark

The inside is beautiful and the staff are very friendly! Everything was delicious and we'll be back next time we're at the mall! The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean! Parking was a bit of a disaster, but we also went on a weekend and the mall was packed. They have so many options and the bento box really gives you a bit of everything!

Hands down the best Japanese restaurant we have eaten at in a long, long time. We might even venture to say it is the best! The atmosphere is colorful and inviting, the music is enchanting, and staff is incredibly welcoming. Thank you, Devin for the wonderful service! We started with a couple of bowls of wonton soup. They came out piping hot and oh so good! Can wonton soup be buttery ? I don 't know how else to describe it! The wonton are made fresh and are busting with flavor. We also got a sushi roll that was beautifully prepared. I asked for extra ginger and they delivered. The chicken lo mein did not disappoint either. As their sign states, they are no fast food restaurant! I mean, we got our food fast, but every plate is hand crafted fresh!

Delicious, fresh, and such a lovely place to eat. The food is great, the staff is wonderful, and the vibes are delightful. We love coming here and talk about it all the time.

Enjoyed a light lunch at this nice place! We've been watching Midnight Diner on Netflix and we enjoyed the (sort of) similarity! Tried the tuna sashimi since many said they didn't.... It was quite tasty. Also at reviewers recommendations we ordered pork(not the bbq) and chicken buns. We loved the pork and the chicken was pretty good. My partner in crime ordered a fancy mixed drink (Orange Crush) from the fancy looking bar. The server could not really tell us what was in the drink. So we went up to the bar to discover that the drink came from a can. The bar was not a real functioning bar! Suggest you order a wine or beer instead of a $10 drink from a can. Looking forward to returning!
