What Ashley Acosta dislikes about Chimi Place:
The empanadas are extremely dry and completely lack any meat—it's literally just an "empaNADA." The yaroas are mediocre at best; they don't even follow the traditional lasagna method but just toss on some meat and cheese and call it good. I suggest checking out Empanadas Monumental across the street instead. I usually end up here as a last option and always remember why it's my last choice, haha. Seriously, save your... Good for a quick bite. They close early, so no late night snacks. Give yourself some time when you go there.
If you going to order at this place, i suggest ordering 1 hour before coming. They take forever! So annoying.
Love it. Food is always tasty. It brings me back to DR.
I will definitely order this again; it was delicious and truly authentic!
It was my first and last time ordering from here. They sent me the wrong vevida, and the ripe banana yaroa was more like green bananas. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
