My spouse and I ordered from the menu yesterday. She opted for chicharrón de pollo (fried chicken with bones), while I chose rabo encendido (spicy oxtails). What Soy B (SoyB) doesn't like about International Food House:
Overall, the food was quite good. However, the side vegetables were a bit bland and undercooked. Since I had never tried mofongo before, I can't really judge it—while it tasted okay, it was very dense and filling. The checkout process took a bit longer than expected. View all feedback.
I have visited the Poughkeepsie location, and I have to say that Golden Corral is far better. First of all, during both of my visits around noon, I thought I was paying the lunch price of $12.75 per person. However, each time I was charged $17.99 per person and was told that it’s dinner all day. That’s not what your sign indicates, and there’s no mention of “Dinner all Day” anywhere to be found. I find that really frustrating. As a result, I didn’t tip the bus girl, as she shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of the extra charges being made. If they’re charging me an additional $5 per person illegally, they can give that money to her. There’s no lunch price displayed when entering the restaurant, yet you suddenly charge dinner prices at noon. Sorry, but your scheme has been uncovered. Don’t expect me to tip anyone.

We visited this restaurant for lunch based on a friend's recommendation, and we were not disappointed. The staff greeted us warmly, creating a wonderful atmosphere from the start. The food was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
Buffet food, super delicious. The staff was friendly and observant. The place has a good feel to it. This place has many reviews for a reason.
