Ramen is good, the pork was delicious but the broth should be improved, portions are big enough. Prices are in line with the average of New York, maybe even a little lower View all feedback.
What TheGrassGuy doesn't like about Zurutto:
The miso ramen was just average for me. It only had two pieces of pork in addition to the ground meat, and it felt a bit overpriced, which is what you'd expect in NYC. I've definitely had worse ramen, though. On the positive side, I really enjoyed the takoyaki (octopus balls), and the service was prompt. View all feedback.
This restaurant runs efficiently, with timely food service. The dry ramen is particularly tasty, featuring minced truffle mushrooms and pork, which seems to be a new recipe. While the staff will place the bill on your table promptly, it feels neutral rather than intrusive. I look forward to returning to sample more new dishes.
I ordered the potato shrimp appetizer and the Zurutto classic ramen. Starting with the appetizer, it arrived hot and sizzling. The dish had a wonderfully crunchy outer layer that was reminiscent of shrimp tempura, but with a potato-based shell that had an almost deep-fried shoestring fry texture, which worked beautifully. As for the ramen, it was delicious. While I usually prefer tonkotsu soup, this chicken broth-based ramen was very enjoyable. The flavors were pronounced yet subtle, intricate and nuanced, keeping me intrigued by the broth's complexity. I finished everything by the end of the meal and left feeling satisfied. The noodles were good, though slightly overcooked for my taste, and the egg had the perfect lava yolk texture. I highly recommend stopping by to check them out!
This restaurant has a spacious venue for New York City and offers excellent service. The food arrived surprisingly quickly and was incredibly delicious at a reasonable price. We started with fried wontons, followed by individual bowls of ramen. I really enjoyed the ramen, which came in generous portions with tender meat. I ordered the original ramen and found it absolutely delightful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I left feeling incredibly satisfied. I highly recommend this place!
Nice little Japanese restaurant on the street. The waiters were very kind and respectful of their customers. The handmade gyoza was delicious along with the takoyaki. The octopus inside was a little overcooked but it had a great flavor. The ramen brothsweren?t as strong but the egg inside was delicious. Portions for the salad and sides were small but great.
Zurutto is one of those rare Japanese establishments that makes you think, Now THIS food is special. From the quick and friendly service that sat us at our table, to the delicious garlic butter edamame, mayo shrimp, and pork buns, to the flavorpacked into the ramen, we had a wonderful time getting dinner here. The service is truly excellent. So attentive and quick, butwithout being in your face. If there is ever a place that justifies giving the staff a big tip, this is the place. The ramenwas very big in portion size. My partner got the deluxe and I got the tantan. Both were excellent. The deluxe is comforting andsilky, and the tantan had a nice spicy kick that was moderated with a delicious peanut sauce laced in with the noodles. Theprices were quite reasonable. I would recommend trying their appetizers. All three that we tried were fantastic. Zuruttoprovides some of the best ramen in upper Manhattan. I would highly recommend trying them at least once.
