Not the best choice for group outings. We were able to secure a table for eight in the back after a short wait. It was somewhat cramped, but we made it work. The... View all feedback.

We visited the restaurant shortly after it opened, and it was a bit crowded. The seating was not very comfortable, making the environment less enjoyable. As for the service, it was average. The food was... View all feedback.
This locale is a hidden gem. Food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful. I end up having 3 of the yakitori (skewers) for appetizer. Chicken heart, octopus, and squid. All wonderful choices. I was hoping for a plum onigiri, but they were out. Tried the salmon one, grilled, and was quite good. Had also the raw octopus on wasabi sauce, and tuna tartare. Although they were good, not what I expected. They were also out of the sake I was going to try, so I went with a sweet potato vodka instead. I was hoping it to be on the sweet side, but was dry. Still good. I would come back and try other items
No frills solid izakaya that has been serving up Japanese food and drinks for ever. The food is decent (not amazing) but the food and drinks are affordable. Plus the ambiance brings you back to sitting in a local izakaya in Tokyo. If you want privacy, big space and attentive service…go somewhere else. If you want to feel energy, eat decent food and drink with your friends, this is the place.
My first time experiencing Japanese in NYC and it was special. Just came from the skatepark with my boy Carlos and the food was great. The octopus balls was so tasty.
This was a great experience to have Yakitori which was grilled to perfection. I will go here again and many times over and over! The service was not the greatest but guess what I don't care. The food is what should taste great and not the service!
Came here before and loved the vibe... until a roach started crawling on the table. 2 mins later we found a fried and seasoned roach gloriously sprawling in our dish. Never again.
