Xochitl Taqueria - New York

I’m puzzled by the ratings for this restaurant. While the food was passable, it lacked any real flavor. The drinks were good, and the bartenders were friendly. I'd be willing to return for a local happy hour, but not for the food.

The atmosphere, food, and drinks were excellent. However, the waitstaff was quite abrupt and unfriendly. After delivering our meals, she didn't check on us again until we signaled for our bill. At the time, the restaurant was not busy, with only two other customers present. Despite this, the food, ambiance, and drinks definitely deserved a five-star rating.

This is an excellent spot for fans of Mexican food. They serve delicious tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, along with fantastic drinks. The service is quick and friendly. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone looking to experience authentic Mexican cuisine.

The tofu burrito was a bit disappointing. It’s mostly rice, refried beans, and cheese. It tasted fine, but there were just 4 small squares of tofu. I specifically chose it because I wanted a high protein meal, and I would expect there to be more tofu in something called a tofu burrito.

The restaurant was empty during lunchtime. The food was fresh and tasty, but there was no atmosphere.
