My husband and I went to this restaurant for our Valentine's Day dinner. We were pleasantly surprised when they gave us roses, which we thought was a nice touch! We began with a cheese and meat appetizer, followed by pasta dishes for our main course, and finished with a tasty dessert. The chocolate salami dessert was especially outstanding! What Susie Kautzer doesn't like about Ulivo:
Ulivo is a perfectly fine restaurant serving okay Italian dishes. The decor and ambiance are nice and comfortable, the service a little slipshod. But it's located in the now trendy NoMad neighborhood — and while we were there before 7 pm, at around 8:30 it was getting crowded. View all feedback.
We were pleasantly surprised. We found this place last minute on Yelp and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the serving size was perfect. The host made sure to accommodate our request of being seated in a larger table. The servers were all very attentive to us. Would come back!
Dined here on Friday night. I was a single and many restaurants don’t want singles because of the reduced seating mandate. They happily took me and were very kind and attentive to me. Dinner was great and not hurried. Beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended.
Food and service were outstanding! Highly recommend.
We had a great experience at Ulivo. There was a ravioli special with eggplant, truffle, and burrata, and it was one of the best dishes we had ever tasted. The fish roe pasta was delicious as well, and the texture and taste of the homemade pasta was perfect. Our server was extremely helpful with our ordering and was knowledgable on the menu and passionate about the food. Everything we had was delicious, and I'd definitely recommend trying the rum punch!
Fantastic all around, will definitely be back to try more food options!
