One of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. You can see them make guacamole and salsa fresh kind of place. The decor and ambience is appealing. The food is tasty and it isn’t the wannabe Mexican places around the city. Let’s be real, there won’t be anything in the city that’s close to authentic to Mexican restaurant. Tortaria, seems to have a few things about it that comes close to the experience—must be the fresh guacamole. Or maybe the ofrendos along the back wall.
Randomly stumbled upon this refreshing spot, while food hopping. Obviously the deal (torta, taquitos, and a draft beer) is a steal. The whole restaurant itself is full of color and surrounds it's self with fresh fruits and ingredients. They play upbeat music with a sit -anywhere style seating. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.
Great mexican food. This is one of go to places in the Union Square area. Seating is limited, so you might have to get to know a few new people if you are dining in. The food has been consistently good. I love the pulled pork torta, but they all have been good. Service is fast. The restrooms are clean.
Cool Mexican spot that has fast and efficient service. Was super crowded and the manager was beyond accommodating in trying to find us a seat inside. Offered several options including sitting at the bar until a table was located. Server was very attentive. Disappointed they took the black bean soup off the menu but the blackened shrimp tacos and chips and salsa were delicious. Drinks were good and strong.
Is it my birthday?! The food is so special here! Simple, classic, and quality. I had the shredded chicken burrito and classic house margarita on the rocks with salt. Both were delicious and so beautifully made. The burrito wrap was handmade, stretchy and fluffy, and grilled on one side. The filling was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, not needing but enhanced by the three sauces that came on the side. The margarita was fresh, pure, clean and the salt rim was perfect. Long margarita and mezcal menu you could tell there is pride in their recipes. Nothing overdone simple and spectacular. The service was courteous and professionals and the decor was really fun and colorful. Can’t wait to go back!
