While some dishes were praised for being flavorful and well-prepared, others were criticized for being bland and overcooked. We really enjoyed our first experience at The Smile for the early Saturday breakfast. It is a small place in Soho, but they had plenty of space for parties from...
Had the baked eggs and it was delicious. Nice and cozy place for a solo dinner! Not too crowded what I appreciated.
We ate an early dinner in this charming restaurant on a Sunday after a matinee in public theatre. We sat outside at one of the two tables below the street...
Great vibe, but couple things... The half chicken I ordered was far too citrus-y and dry. The potatoes were bomb though. When we asked to break a $50 bill, we counted the cash getting ready to leave a tip and the server walked over seeing us count our cash and said "I think I gave you change for a $40 not 50 "She was correct. This seemed shady as there is no such thing as a $40 bill.Would she have admitted she didn 't give us enough change if she didn 't see us counting it?Gave me a bad taste in my mouth to go with the half chicken.5* for vibe2* for food
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The servers were very accommodating. Four of us ordered three appetizers and two entrees and that was plenty. The mezzo plate had three kinds of hummus and plenty fresh veggies. Each dish seemed to come with a different kind of bread. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a great glaze. The chicken was moist and flavorful. We ate outside, at the bottom of the steps. There was fresh air and little street noise.
