The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. The service was excellent, as our server consistently checked on us. The omelette was light and fluffy, just as I requested. The location is fantastic as well. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Roosevelt Grill:
The coffee and juice were poured into our sauces without even asking, and they cost $5 per cup. The server seemed rushed most of the time and hurried us along with our order, even though we mentioned several times that we wanted to take a few more minutes to look over the limited menu. They couldn’t take our orders quickly enough. Overall, I don’t think this place is worth the money. View all feedback.
This was a terrible restaurant. Overpriced with bland food. No one came to take our order so we decided to go to the buffet. My table of three did not see our waiter until he came to give us our check. Do not waste your time or money here.
The Holiday Brunch was until 2pm with the last seating at 2 pm per Open Table. Food had not been replenished. Bagels were hard and stale with few left at 1:15 pm the quiches were all dried out , desserts all picked over ... no Salmon as advertised but instead a chicken Marsala which was just OK , the ham was good and the brussel sprouts that’s about it. Cream cheese spreads were not on ice , cheese also dried out in appearance. Very disappointed, I chose here not because we were guests of the Hotel but because of reviews I had read in Trip Advisor. For $40 per person you were not even offered a mimosa or **** Mary . All My husband was able to eat was the scrambled eggs and some bacon. The croissants were like hockey pucks they were so hard. Clearly food was put out for the start of brunch and that was it. Was definitely not worth the money. Would never recommend the brunch there to anyone. The Hotel however by itself I am very pleased with, just make other arrangements for Holiday brunch.
Ambiance was loud. To serve fries as a side dish cheapens the main meals. The best experience was a couple who was seated next to us. Apparently local regulars. They made our experience great. The grilled octopus and lobster was delicious!
After waiting for close to 10 minutes we were finally greeted by our server. He poured juice then left again. We finally just helped ourselves to the buffet. For the price the food was mediocre at best. The server came by one other time right before we were finished and glasses had been empty for a while to pour more juice and drop off the check where he had very tackily circled the suggested gratuity on the check. I am always a 20% tipper but for the lack of service and attention we received i didn’t feel it was appropriate and thought it was very tacky to have it circled on the bill. For a $55 breakfast I would not recommend.
We stayed at The Roosevelt and dined at the Grillle for breakfast both mornings of our stay and it was fantastic! We were immediately greeted, seated and brought a fresh pot of coffee and our cups were filled with juice/water. We both enjoyed the breakfast buffet that had plenty of choices including eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, mini quiche, home fries, French toast, yogurt, fresh fruit and more! Great atmosphere and attentive staff! We would definitely stay and dine again!
