Knickerbockers has always been a beautiful room. the waiter was excellent and enthusiastic about the menu. the food was well prepared. the prices are reasonable. you can't go wrong as a meal.

Good, but not great. not many people in the restaurant that tells. steak wasn't the most tender, but tasted good.
I've been going to Knickerbocker since 1977, though I hadn't been there since before covid. I even worked there in the early 80s! It's always been sort of home and one of my favorite places. Last night was very disappointing. The food was ok, nothing special--except the caviar pie--and the choices are mundane. Service was good. There was nothing wrong per se, nor was there anything noteworthy. As I said, disappointing.
