Contribute FeedbackThe Chester restaurant in NYC offers a mixed bag of experiences, ranging from disappointing to delightful. Some customers were unhappy with the slow service, lack of knowledge among the staff, and discrepancies in pricing. Others praised the excellent food, cozy atmosphere, and attentive service, especially mentioning the friendly general manager. While there were some issues, the overall consensus seems to be that The Chester has potential and may just need some time to work out the kinks. Despite the mixed reviews, many patrons plan to revisit this restaurant in the trendy Meatpacking District for various occasions.
After the chef had left the previous restaurant encore, the manager came to serve with the idea of eating an American interpretation of French bistro style. there is not really a concept and the execution of each teller is quite poor. only the otopus was acceptable. the choice of weeping through the glass is also disappointing. I was honestly expecting a cheerful ambiente at the meatpackers, but it is quite boring then exciting when you disregard the fact that the restaurant was almost empty. there are definitiw better places in the meatpacking district!
The place is beautiful, it can be hard to find, but once they are beautiful. the service is amazing from beginning to end, eating came on time and amazing. the cook really knows what he does! I'll come back safely and I'll recommend it to all my friends in pack!
Eating was pretty good. the seating is comfortable. the place was just opened. I think it is promising, but it has some dinge to fix, it will take a very long time. all the things we have ordered, baratta, tuna-ter, risotto, halibut, were really good, and I would order them again in the final. however, they were underused, could not serve cocktails from their cocktail menu, and generally just did not seem to really know what they were doing. I'll try again.
Great new addition to the neighborhood. Sleek cocktail bar by night. Good brunch options by day. Can’t wait to return and enjoy it al fresco in summer.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The cider and beer bottles were only half full, and the espresso was cold and seemed like it had either been previously drank from or not properly washed. Overall, it was a very sad experience.
