Love this place for healthier eating. The Poke portions are just right so that you walk out feeling satisfied. Staff is also friendly. Not much seating except the four seater at the bar table. Most recently there?s been complimentary coffee offered to all customers. View all feedback.
What Melinda L doesn't like about Sweetcatch Poke Midtown East:
Overpriced poor quality poke. The fish here doesn't taste very fresh and feels a bit string-y. The rice is a tad mushy. The flavor of the sauce also doesn't come through. While there is an average amount of toppings to include, nothing stands out. I've been here twice, willing to give this place a second chance, but each time, I'm reminded why I don't want to order form here again. View all feedback.
The food is always good here. Fresh and colorful presentation.
I really appreciate that all of their poke bowls, even with seaweed salad are gluten free! (I hope that they truly are, as someone with Celiac.)I wish they'd differentiate between the colors between what is dairy free and gluten free as I almost ordered off their hot menu because they place a little circle next to items that are gluten or dairy free.Food was good. Wish I could have had a sauce (they weren't gluten free) because the kale was overpowering. Next time I'd probably get all rice and skip the kale in the poke bowl. Also, staff was unfamiliar with the Yelp check in offer and had to text a manager on 2/11/2022. Not the employee's fault it's management's job to make sure their staff are aware of promotions that they're running.
This place is one of my favorite lunch spots I come here at lease once a week and generally really enjoy the food. That being said, the reason I am giving 2 stars and ultimately decided to write a review is because the staff at this location are so rude. They seem unmotivated and miserable to be there and act annoyed when you ask questions or request order variations or additions i.e., adding a protein or crunchies . People have bad days, of course, but this attitude seems to be unvarying no matter when I go or who is working. I can count on one hand the number of times I 've been treated like a paying customer and not a nuisance here. Especially for the price $17/bowl , placing an order or asking questions i.e. ingredients of a sauce should not be a chore. Customer service aside, the food is delicious, fish seems fresh, and portions are generous... but I urge management to do something about the staff or I will find another spot to get my poke fix.

I’ve had poke takeout here several times it’s always enjoyable. It’s fresh and a good value for the amount of food I order, I look forward to visiting many more times on my lunch break.
