Their sukiyaki is excellent! I highly recommend it! We ordered two prime ribeyes, which were delectable. The roasted duck as an appetizer is also a great option. We arrived at 5:15 PM without a reservation. View all feedback.
What Ray Wu doesn't like about Shabu Tatsu East Village:
I work in the food industry as well, and I understand that everyone has bad days. I usually keep quiet to preserve my energy, but I believe that having a bad attitude is not acceptable. I want to clarify that I didn’t show any attitude towards him while he was taking our order. I'm just sharing this feedback for the restaurant to consider. View all feedback.
Japanese comfort to the max. Have been going for years, did take out during shutdown, and was my first indoor dining when nyc opened back up. Whether you choose Yakiniku or Shabu Shabu, it will be a wonderful meal. Attentive service and great value.
Cozy spot! Food is great. Portions was just enough. Not too much not too little. Go early though as there will be a wait
Sukiyaki taste good. The service is also good. Always lots of people here, even on weekdays.
Yes the food was great and all, but the restroom was exceptional. It had great character. It was very warm, down to earth, and inviting.
We made reservations and were seated very quickly. I think if we did not have reservations we would have still been seated fast. If you want the experience of Japanese Shabu this place does give you a no frills experience. There was nothing overly special about the quality or food but it was right in line with what I expected.
