Sable's Smoked Fish - New York

The Pho noodle soup was light and tasty. The small portion fills you up well, and it was really easy on my crampy stomach ??? ??????

There is a nice variety of good tasting fish but the bagels are not very good. I don't understand why so many positive reviews of the bagels. These are not NY style bagels. They are stiff and dry and not much better than what you can find in any grocerystore. The bagels from Liberty are so much better: fresh, bigger, not dry, softer inside, with a nice crust outside. Also,Sables has no posted menu and high prices.

The bagel on the Nova Sandwich was served untoasted, which wasn’t ideal but not surprising. However, the Apple Blintzes were completely frozen and inedible—I wouldn’t recommend them.

The staff are incredibly pleasant! Chin is fantastic; he always has a smile on his face. The food is consistently excellent.

The food remains delicious, but I’ve noticed a decline in customer service. I visited to get a sandwich on the Thursday before Passover, and while they were quite busy, that shouldn’t excuse the lack of attention to customers. Please bring back the same staff as before!
