Contribute FeedbackOverall, Rosa Mexicano in Tribeca received a mix of reviews. Some diners had a terrible experience, noting disappointing food and ambience, as well as a lack of attention to special occasions like birthdays. However, others enjoyed the excellent guacamole, tasty and well-prepared food, generous portions, and good service. The outdoor dining experience was pleasant, and the happy hour menu offered excellent value. Despite some issues with noise levels and missing out on complimentary chips and salsa as a solo diner, many guests had positive experiences and would consider returning to this lively spot.
Server was nice, but the service was slow. The food is cold. The food wasn't good. Over the years the hill is really gone and will not go back.
Eating is not as good as the Taco stands a block away. Bathrooms had no papers. Really disappontinf
This was one of my most terrible culinary experiences in NY since the move here in 2000. And I say as someone who was at least a dozen times at one of the two other locations of Rosa Mexicans in Manhattan. But they are worlds next to the Tribeca site, which is very disappointing in terms of food and ambience.
As a frequent visitor of Rosa Mexicano at its Union Square site, we had to try this time to close the Tribeca site in view of the temporary closure of Union Square; but it was a great disappointment, with bad meat quality and undercooking the Rock Steaks for 2 of the Party of 4. Never back to this place. Can't wait until the Union Square site reopens.
The staff is fantastic and the food is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening out.
