Contribute Feedback What Solomon Jones likes about Refinery Rooftop:
The atmosphere and drinks at this restaurant were excellent. I visited during the holidays and was impressed by the decor and overall ambience of both the indoor dining area and rooftop. I have heard great things about this lounge and will definitely be returning during non-seasonal times. View all feedback.
What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about Refinery Rooftop:
I made a reservation through OpenTable, but it seems that Refinery has its own reservation system, and my booking wasn't fully recognized in their records. I received emails and texts suggesting that my reservation might have been overlooked. When I arrived, we were informed that there was a time limit for our table, which added a sense of stress to the experience, as we were constantly reminded of the time constrain... View all feedback.
We had a reservation for our table, and the place was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night. The views of the Empire State Building were fantastic. However, I have to mention that the menu was quite limited and the prices felt steep for what we received—it's clear you're paying more for the view than the food. It was a bit distracting to have so many people taking photos right in front of us while we were trying to enjoy our dinner; at one point, a security guard had to ask a customer to return inside after she had taken around 100 selfies. I would recommend this spot for drinks, but perhaps not for dinner.
The Refinery Rooftop at The Refinery Hotel is a fantastic place for food and drinks. The rooftop terrace has a garden-like ambiance right in the city center, complete with a view of the Empire State Building. Their cocktail menu is impressive, with the Duke being a standout bourbon selection. Be sure to try the Sushido peppers as an appetizer—they're not to be missed. While the sliders and grilled chicken club sandwich were both delicious, the chicken and waffles and French toast on the brunch menu are the real highlights. The service from Mackenzie was excellent. I highly recommend checking this place out! Vegetarian options include veggie sliders.
The atmosphere was quite serene and sophisticated. While the rooftop didn't offer a panoramic view, it did provide a nice glimpse of the Empire State Building, which was sufficient. Despite the service team not being very welcoming, the seating being a bit uncomfortable, and the menu being somewhat limited, we still had a wonderful time. The food surpassed our expectations in flavor.
I definitely recommend! A good rooftop, nice Empire view, good food and service... my choice was lobster roll and french fries. I tried the refinery special cocktail spritz. 10/10??
We had researched nice roof bars in NYC, and this one was mentioned with mixed reviews. We decided to give it a try, as a walk-in, for lunch. We entered the hotel, took the elevator up to the roof top, and when we arrived they greeted us warmly and found us a table. This was a wonderful setting, great food, and nice cocktails. Not cheap, but par for the course for NYC. Great, friendly service and nice views of the Empire State.
