The service here is top-notch—definitely one of my all-time favorite Italian restaurants. Just a heads up, they only accept cash! You have to try the sunny side up eggs with sauce (check out the pictures I posted), and the lasagna is absolutely incredible. The eggplant parmesan is also amazing; honestly, everything is fantastic. I've been here multiple times, and every visit feels like a home run! View all feedback.
What Tanyatip Valyasevi doesn't like about Pitti:
The food was average considering the high prices, and the long wait in line was quite frustrating. We didn't even bother taking a picture of the pasta because it didn't really impress us. View all feedback.
I really do love Bar Pitti. The food is great. The service is extremely rushed, indifferent and just not great.I feel like they are a NY staple but the service has gone down. Listen, we are all exhausted New Yorkers but that’s not the vibe you want when you want a causal summer dinner.Ended up only having the mussels and a peril spritzes. Had dinner elsewhere.
Come here for Authentic Italian cuisine. Everything we ate was a 10/10, but my absolute favorite dish is the truffle pasta. Please be prepared to pay with cash and remember that there are no reservations!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The whole experience was the worst experience my family and I have had at a restaurant. Our waiter was so short with us, rude, and overall just disrespectful and discourteous to us. We asked for waters all around and our waiter came and one had spilled, that was fine, it was an accident. His attitude about it was unapologetic, and then he overcompensated and brought out three extra waters when we had asked if one of us could get a replacement. It was a condescending tone when he abruptly placed the waters down. They brought out the ‘infamous’ chalkboard specials and expected us to know what everything is on the menu. When we had asked questions, he was having none of it, looked annoyed, and again was short and cut us off. So we had asked for 3 Linguine Alle Vongole which are clam pastas. One we had asked with a tomato sauce, but the clams had never came out with it. Perhaps it was a miscommunication, but we asked for and eventually got a bowl of clams for an up charge of $20. And on top of that they are a cash only establishment who adds gratuity onto the check themselves, you don’t have the option to change it. Unfortunately, reading other people’s 1 star reviews they have had a pattern of having racial profiling towards Asians. We have never felt those disgusting behaviors before. It was clear as day how displeased when they saw our group, as the group next to us told the waiters they are French and they were having good and lighthearted conversations with them. They got their food before us even though they had come in after us, and had the options of grating cheese on their dishes, when we didn’t have that option at all. This is the worst establishment we’ve been to. This is a warning to others before you go decide to have a try at this place.
The pasta we ordered was amazing. We felt a little bit ignored (not sure if it was because they were busy or because we looked young) Also the beer was a little bit pricey. We will come back for the pasta.
Firstly, no reservations and cash only!We came at prime dinner time and had no wait, probably because the food was mediocre and the service was subpar. We ordered the most popular dish. It was fine but nothing special. A very average meal, overpriced for what it is.Staff isn’t very friendly and they added auto gratuity of 18% for a group of 3
