Use to be a great restaurant , not any more !!! Sushi have been shrinking !!!! After 24 courses and 500 dollars per person (incluiding service and tax) you are going to be still hungry!!!!!! Sadly,,, stay away from o-ya,,, a lot of better omakase in the city for a lower tap!!!! View all feedback.
We have made the 17-course jewelry menu that sounds ridiculous, but each cure is about one or two bites at most. each cure had a very unique taste, and was absolutely miraculous.
Fantastic food combination (tasting menu). Fresh, flavorful and enjoyable. Recommended.
Was here on a Friday. Stunning food, excellent ingredients. The o toro was amazing. No it’s not cheap, but they deliver the rest.
Where to begin. Two people with 18 course, 1 with the 24 (seemed like it was less than 24) A 3.5 hours torture session. Literally an unbearable amount of time between courses, at some point 1 piece was brought out and it was another 30 minutes until the next (that is ONE piece of nigiri). Ordered appetizers that arrived 60 minutes after ordering. On a previous visit the experience was simply amazing, on this visit simply unacceptable at this price point. The waiter also failed to review the bill and brought a bill for $1800, about double what our bill was. Having said all that when things flow well this is some of the best and certainly some of the most expensive Omakase in NYC The staff should be aware of this at all times and treat each visit with the appropriate level of service and care. For reference if you have not dined here, our first visit with three was about $1500 with tip, second visit was $1100.
Although we received confirmation from your website, the restaurant said they didn’t have the reservation and they didn’t have availablity. They also said they were having a problem with you. They were not at all apologetic or helpful.
