Contribute FeedbackNorth Square in NYC has long been a favorite spot for Sunday brunch, offering a civilized and comfortable dining experience with reliably delicious food. However, recent reviews suggest that the once beloved brunch menu has taken a disappointing turn. Complaints about mediocre chicken sandwiches and skimpy salads have left longtime patrons feeling let down. Despite these setbacks, the restaurant still shines in other areas, with excellent service, an interesting menu of sophisticated dishes, and an extensive cocktail selection. The intimate jazz band setting during Sunday brunch adds an extra layer of charm, making North Square a true gem for New Yorkers looking for a unique dining experience. With European charm, decent outdoor seating, and a quiet, friendly atmosphere, North Square remains a neighborhood favorite worth supporting, even in the face of challenges such as decreased business due to the pandemic. Guests staying at the affiliated hotel also rave about the dinner and brunch offerings, with perfectly cooked and delicious dishes that leave a lasting impression. Despite some recent missteps, North Square continues to offer a delightful dining experience for those seeking a taste of European elegance in the heart of Greenwich Village.
North square never disappointed. the personal is as wonderful as eating. we try to go there for every important holiday as well as other times.
The crusted salmon was excellent! Best I have eaten.
Lovely vibe! Very good food but very small portion 3 scallops for dinner entree.
Lovely salmon tartare with avocado and potato leek soup. Salmon and rack of lamb were outstanding. Even the french fries were delicious!
Beautiful small apartment, from the way. limited menu, but well made. very friendly staff. in any case worth a visit.
