**Ordered Items:** Stuffed Artichoke, Small Charcuterie Board, Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza
The food was excellent with generous portions. The service was mostly good, though we did experience a bit of a wait when trying to request the bill. The location and outdoor patio were comfortable and cozy.
What Matt H doesn't like about Norma Gastronomia Siciliana:
I ordered online. Showed up 20 minutes later. Pizza was not started. I was the only person there. Rude guy asked me to wait outside. They still have not started my pizza and it's been 35 minutes. Here are some photos to show how not busy they are. The Italian guy does not seem to think there is any issue as they just take 45 minute breaks from 5-6 and customers who ordered at 4:55 with no warning from yelps order pla... View all feedback.
This was a truly delightful experience. The staff was extremely helpful and offered excellent service. To our surprise, there was no wait for indoor seating, and our food was served very promptly. From the salad to dessert, everything was just as we had hoped. The atmosphere was cozy, making us feel as if we could have stayed all night. It had the charm of a summer evening in Europe.
Staff and food were great! Nice and cozy spot to relax with dinner. Our server was very attentive to whatever we needed. Had an arugula salad which was very good. The pizza was very good and crispy. Their lemon tart was very good, the only thing was that the tiramisu had too much cocoa on top. Otherwise a great experience!
I'm from Sicily and currently live in Tucson, AZ. For the past two years, I've been searching for a restaurant that evokes the flavors of home, and without a doubt, this is one of the best restaurants I've ever encountered! Their pizza is absolutely incredible, and their espresso is excellent! If I lived in NYC, this would be my go-to restaurant every weekend. Thank you for such a fantastic experience; I can't wait to return!
The restaurant offers outdoor seating, and if you're concerned about social distancing, it may be better to sit outside or towards the back inside, as the seating is quite close together. With so many options on the menu, we started our meal with a salad and a side of olives, then faced the delightful challenge of choosing our main dishes. We decided on the gnocchi with bolognese and a porcini pizza. I should mention that extra bolognese sauce on the side cost $3, which was fine with us, but it turned out to be surprisingly small—about 2/3 cup at most. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! The gnocchi were like little pillows of delight, and the pizza was everything I had been craving—light, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. Our multitasking server was impressive, managing to take care of us and all the other diners with remarkable energy. I felt exhausted just watching him dart around! I look forward to returning soon!
Finally I found a great Italian restaurant in New York !!! The staff makes the food worthwhile at this restaurant. The cozy and warm ambiance swiftly transports you to Sicily. It truly feels like having a meal in Italy. Their pastas are amazing. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely go in! I will definitely be back!
