I was with my daughter when she was visiting. we love both Indian food and she spent 6 weeks in bangalore a few years ago. this place is great. we ordered dads and boti kebab to share as app and then got saag, lamb vindaloo, dal and puri. the service was friendly and efficient. we asked the waiter to make the flavor mirror to our taste, as we have no fear of heat. especially the vindaloo. everything came out perfectl... We had a terrific early dinner at this fairly new restaurant. We were greeted by the owner and he personally walked us through several suggestions in the extensive menu. We enjoyed the Lasuni Gobi appetizer that he recommended. For dinner, we had chicken tikka masala of course, as well as the Lamb Bhuna and Navrarttan Korma all excellent! This is an exceptional dining value in mid town Manhattan.

Excellent food and very charming atmosphere. Staff are very nice.

Terrible experience. Came at reservation time and was told we would have to wait 30 minutes. We had theater tickets which made delays problematic. We did have to wait that long, then the dishes took very long to arrive. We ended up having only about 20 minutes in which to eat. No one was apologetic or accommodating. Food was mediocre. Very disorganized.

A good option for authentic Indian; the lamb curry and saag paneer made the grade. Excellent value and convenient for going to concerts or theater. Don't assume a reservation will assure you of a table at the designated time, though.
