Contribute FeedbackMIMI, a charming French restaurant, has received mixed reviews from customers. Some were disappointed by the limited Sunday menu and the lack of transparency regarding chef changes, while others found the food overpriced and the portions small. However, many diners praised the excellent service, unique menu combinations, and warm ambiance of the restaurant. Highlights included the pork ribs, chocolate fondant, and Parisienne gnocchi. Despite the varied feedback, MIMI seems to be a neighborhood favorite with a loyal following who appreciate the thoughtful preparation and personalized experience offered by the staff. Overall, MIMI offers a memorable dining experience that is worth the cost for those who value high-quality cuisine in a cozy setting.
The tables are too close, it's like I'm taking part in keeping with my neighbors. no private sphere at all.
Who in what a small kitchen has to be, cooks perfect notes with unlikely combinations over and over. eating here is simply excellent, in two meals with 10 things were fantastic. it is tiny, but the employees manage a very high degree of service despite the matchbox setting. not cheap, but worth every penny. great cocktail and great when small wine list.
Good food .good service .good wein . good experience.
Like smaller venues for dinner. However at 9:45PM they were sold out of virtually everything. Hard to enjoy a place when you are forced to choose dishes that would be your last choice. Im baffled by the to-do over the chicken. It was over done and tough. It had good flavor but that was it. Not sure what the logs on my plate were, but they were not appetizing. Lamb was sooooo fatty. Salad was good but the sashimi was somewhat bland. I would not rush back if ever.
I was surprised at the easy laid back feel to Mimi. It was really warm and inviting and the staff were kind and seemed to be having fun. The rilette was amazing and the bib lettuce salad was fresh and delicious. The tartare was a bit odd however, as the meat seemed ground rather than chopped and it was sweet rather than spicy. I like the novelty of the approach but it just wasn't my thing. But then there was the Parisienne gnocchi. Home run. All in all, we had a great time and would happily recommend Mimi to everyone.
