I visited a charming little restaurant on Wednesday night, which was bustling with patrons, so my friend and I ended up sitting at the bar. Our bartender, Ash, was fantastic! What Latin Impulse Magazine doesn't like about Mexicue Times Square:
I had lunch today, and while the food was a bit on the expensive side, that's what you might expect in a tourist area. The service was decent; our waitress was friendly and attentive, and she also worked as the bartender. She came over to our table to let us know her shift was ending, so we needed to settle the bill. Omg the CORNBREAD GAVE ITSELF 5 STARS.... Then you have the corn which is freaking SLAPPING!!!!!! I had a mimosa.....prices are real good.... The lobster taco was 3/5 Shrimp taco 4/5 Smoky chicken tack 4/5
Great Mexican food! I am from the Southwest and know good Mexican food. This place was a great fusion of flavors on typical Mexican dishes. I will come back the next time I am in NYC!
Not a huge space, outside seating available at least on a cool November evening. A little loud, in a fun way. Our waitress was great and all staff seemed nice. If you are comfortable with the prices, recommended!
Mexicue was fantastic. We were looking for a quick late lunch and we found just that. It was so busy but we were still able to get in. Probably one of our favourite meals during our visit to NYC. The portions were very generous and the flavours were amazing. Everything that went by looked delicious. I loved the margarita and the cornbread, and the salad is something I would definitely go back for. The service was great, the manager was visible and on the floor helping the rest of the staff out which is always so nice to see. I would definitely recommend Mexicue to anyone looking for a tasty, affordable meal. A great find in the middle of the city. Great mergers and margaritas. Large room and staff. Sure it's expensive, but it's Manhattan.
