Old school dives in the Irish bar. We don't find many of them in town anymore. Irish whiskey driven bat. Small brush long and cold. Play TV Sports, Time... All about the prices anta these liquors. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mccoys:
I asked for some water (my friend really needed it) after closing my tab on a Saturday night. The bartender said no and walked away. I laughed at first because I thought he was joking, but eventually realized he was serious. I waited 5 minutes and asked again. He rudely dismissed me. View all feedback.
I enjoyed some ciders during my first visit to an Irish pub, and I found them to be quite delicious! While the atmosphere could have been better, I still rated it 4 stars since it was early and pleasantly quiet.
As for the layout, the bar is clean and features the classic long and narrow design typical of city bars—exactly what I envision when I think of a narrow bar in an urban setting. If the bar isn't too crowded, you can snag a stool and enjoy a chat with friends or the bartender. However, seating is limited, so during busy times, you might find yourself standing. Regardless, it's still a fantastic spot! In terms of decor, McCoy's keeps it simple. There are a few TVs, and on the night we visited, a baseball game was playing. Football flags of various teams hang high above the bar, and you'll also notice many Jameson bottles on the shelves behind the bar, each labeled with people's names. Overall, McCoy's is a delightful bar in Hell's Kitchen, offering a relaxed vibe compared to the high energy of other New York City bars. I highly recommend stopping by for one of the best pints of Guinness I've had in the city and enjoying a good old chat with friends!
Great spot to unwind after work or just have some fun and enjoy a beer. It's also conveniently affordable.
Cool. Local Irish Bar. Not for tourists really but we went in. Long thin bar with booths at the back. Its a sport bar really. Good beers. Lovely guiness and the bar maid was really friendly. Made us feel very welcome.
Best bar in town, owner treats you like royalty!!! Can't beat their prices, it instantly became my favorite go to place!!!
