this is a fabulous place with a very attentive staff. Many critiken say it is full, but our party of 6 did not find that true. we all ordered something else and all the dishes distributed were great. we would have this facility for theatre quarter meals (and skip the olive garden in times square.) food was great but the waiters were garbage but i assume it’s because the tip is already included so they do not care how they treat you. would recommend for take out only if that’s even available View all feedback.
The food is always amazing here. My favourite place to eat in Hells Kitchen. The chicken Parm is always my go to. Caesar salad, and bruschetta is fantastic as well. It's one place you can't miss when your here in NYC, hence my parents coming here for the past 15 years. The service and atmosphere is amazing as well. See you next time Connie!
Mama Mia is absolutely my favourite restaurant in Hells Kitchen. It's one place I have to go to everytime I'm in New York! The service, food, and atmosphere is fantastic each and every time! My favourite thing to order is the Chicken Parm, it's the best I've ever had! The Caesar salad, and bruschetta is amazing too. You will not be disappointed with whatever you may order. Got to meet the owner Connie after all these years of coming here (my parents have been coming here for the last 15-20 years), and it's our favourite place to go for dinner! See you next time!
I unfortunately did not have a good experience at brunch Sunday. The management only hired one waiter and one busboy for the restaurant during peak brunch hours and they were clearly overwhelmed. The service was subpar not due to their performance but due to the poor management not knowing when their restaurant is actually busy. The drinks took about an hour to come out after we sat down. The drinks themselves were pretty good in comparison. It was just coffee and bellini, nothing complicated.I ordered an omelette that took even longer to come out. It was overcooked and hard. It had hair on it (pictured). The waiter took the dish back and gave me $1.50 off. Normally when you have hair show up in your food you would get a new dish or the item comped. Taking off $1.50 just made the experience worse on top of the service. For that experience, I had to pay 20% gratuity (included in the bill) and then are asked to tip even more on the receipt. The management seriously needs to reconsider how they staff this place and treat situations where there is hair in the food.
Definitely won't be coming here again for the following reasons:We originally were told we couldn't sit at a table for four because we were a party of two but yet the very next party of two that came in was given the very table we were told we couldn't sit at.Our waitress completely disappeared on us and we had to have different people take care of us.Our bill was originally charged wrong. The veal special was $40 and I don't think I could have gotten a smaller pieceBut the atmosphere is great especially with the live music.
The food was okay. Whilst the service was good they took the butter away, did not offer to get another drink, and added a automatic gratuity to the bill.
