What User doesn't like about Lamano West Village:
Started well with great tasting tapas, but from there service was slow, coffee machine not working and dessert was disappointing, once they’d been out and bought the strawberries to make dessert. Bonus: the amazing flamenco dancer View all feedback.
I witnessed a pregnant woman get denied entry to the bathroom, the service and staff was very off putting and rude. small place not much space. The staff is rude to everyone. would not recommend.Food: 1/5
Customer service was great. The croquettes were excellent, but the cheese platter was ok along with gamon wasn’t matching the asking price.
Nice vibe, nice food, Everything amazing, as a note I would say that there's some light missing to go to the toilets. Especially on a sunny day, once inside and going down you don't see anything ;)Food: 5/5
Had a great birthday dinner here. They were very thoughtful and seated us together outside so we could have a little more privacy and hear each other. Food was great and was a convenient location. I wasn't sure about ordering the paella as someone had written a not so great review about it. But I'm glad we got the squid ink paella, it was delicious. Thank you for making it a great night.
Got drinks here last Saturday with a couple of friends. Wish I could say we had gotten food, but unfortunately, after handing us our drinks (which were really tasty), our waiter ignored us for 45 minutes until we ran out of time to even get anything to eat and left. It was a gorgeous sat and the reason we went in the first place was to enjoy the sunset, but the host (rudely) let us know that despite the 4 empty tables outside and countless space inside, we had to sit at the bar stools facing the window. Our drinks took 25 minutes to come and we watched the host sit 3 tables without reservations (we were right in front of the door so we heard the interactions) outside. When we asked again if we could sit outside, the host made no attempt for accommodation and was again very rude. During our time there, we watched through the window as countless guests paid their bills leaving even more empty tables. We felt very much singled out and ignored because we watched the staff treat everyone else with attentiveness, politeness and respect. When leaving, the host was rude again (which seemed aggressively pointless considering we were on our way out and not interacting with him). I live in the area so I've been here before and never had an experience like this. It's disappointing because we like the food here and wanted a chance to eat it. Having such a rude host really takes away from the hard work of the bartenders and cooks, who have no control over how he manages the customer experience. Not the way to treat repeat customers or the work of your own staff, very disappointed that we came here on such a lovely Saturday eve when we could have gone somewhere else in the area where we would have been treated with respect. We will not be back (sadly as we have enjoyed this place in the past).
