Saturday brunch was good. I had the eggs benedict over crab cakes and my wife had the traditional eggs benedict. The eggs were perfectly done and had a good tasting homemade sauce on them. Service was attentive but relaxed. We did not try the pour your own beer thing because some locals were dominating the bar on St Patty's day morning. I don't get the idea of warm water from an old bottle except it is impossible to get ice into an old bottle! Why not use a pitcher? They are faster to fill and easier to clean. Also the bathrooms are painted black and lit with red light. Seems like a safety and sanitation hazard and doesn't help if you need to do any personal grooming.
KEG 229 is an excellent neighbourhood spot for a quick, affordable meal in the beautiful South Street Seaport.
Happy Hour, Dynamic Beer Selection, Great Pub FareYou can say there is a bar for every street corner in the city, and Front Street in no exception.
I used to frequent here often when I lived downtownThe bar scene was always lively and the food was delicious.
