my friends recommended jg as the best hamburger in the city. great atmosphere, many people there are waiting for a table, friendly from the staff. but eating was among the expectations. “Normal” burgers and sides as they find in many other restaurants. perhaps the expectation was too high, but great employees and location View all feedback.
I went to the restaurant with my cousin on Saturday at 1:30. We were informed that the wait would be 20 minutes, but we ended up waiting around 40 minutes. Despite the crowded outdoor seating, we didn't mind. Our food arrived incredibly quickly, in maybe 4 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend trying the burger.
This charming, vintage spot on the Upper East Side is definitely worth a visit for those looking for a top-tier burger in NYC. The menu is simple, but the burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The fries are also crispy and delicious. However, I deducted one star due to inconsistent service during my multiple visits.

Great burgers and great vibes. Definitely an experience you'll want to have at least once in your life. Ordered a coke, cheeseburger (medium but should have went with medium rare) with the pickles and onions, and ordered a side of fries andpickles. If you love steak burgers you will definitely like this one. Ketchup and mustard at the table to add as you like.
Our entire table agreed that the burger we had at this restaurant was the best we've ever tasted. It was perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and you can't go wrong with it. The staff were incredibly friendly and funny, and they were also great with the babies of other guests. If we could rate this place on a 100 point scale, JG Melon would easily get a perfect score of 100/100.
