Great mood. good food. excellent service. only ground for 4 stars are the steep prices they calculate for dinge, which are coupled with relatiw small portions. $18 for a cocktail is a bit unpleasant for a restaurant. $11 for French pommes are even crazy.
Eating was very good. I ordered the marinated olives that are a lot of 3-4 species. they were great, but the ratio of grube to curses was a little big for my taste. the burger was delicious. it is first line a seafood restaurant, so if seafood isn't her ding, could look somewhere else to eat.
So back here after about 3 years. the food was on the spot. service was great. the Whitefish app was savory and had the right amount of smoke and creamy texture. house made cracker were quite delicious. the suppe was a crab and maissher and was really good. I'd eat that. in the act would love the recipe. I'm back.
Had a great brunch here! server were friendly and nice. the food was good. ppl looked hip. I think that's why many pages are waiting for the long line. we ordered half dozens of oysters and the frying plate. such a huge plate for two! we couldn't all finish. I think the plate is more for three people?. but it was good. the plate was about $65 a bit. I had an expensive brunch?
I arrived at Jeffreys at 4:30 on January 28th. I’ve eaten here several times with my white boyfriend several times. The service and the food were always impeccable. But today was different. I arrived solo. The surly woman hostess queried “what would you like here today?” I pointed all the white people eating abd drinking and said “I would like to eat and drink just like all these other people “. “Hold up “ she intoned “It doesn’t work like that. We are on a limited menu. Raw oysters only. “. I said “ that sounds great to me”. She seemed disappointed a d growled. I was seated near the alcove where she sta de and I was forced to hear her laugh and shout obscenities with the bar tender. The overall intent, I felt, was to make me feel unwelcomed. I eat in restaurants all over the world. I’m 6”4’ and black. Im a professional. I was dressed well yet she made me feel as though I looked homeless. The bar tender was lovely and the oysters from New Brunswick were delicious. Why must I have a white person with me to be treated well at this establishment ?
