We visited numerous Michelin star restaurants in our New York City visit and all were great but Jean-Georges blew them all out of the water the food was spectacular service was personal and exceptional the sommelier was personable and accommodating the atmosphere was just beautiful the table lighting was beautiful and unique. What Jane Doe doesn't like about Jean-Georges:
I had the privilege of coming to JG with my siblings, so we have the 10-course tasting menu. The ingredients were fresh and I was glad that I could taste the famous egg toast and tuna noodles that were delicious. The rest of the Asian fusion tasting dishes were not great. I love strong flavors like Laksa, but I found that some dishes were excessively salty. Especially the lobster shell tasted like seawater... You for... View all feedback.

Each plate was presented beautifully, and the desserts were amazing! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Like everyone in New York, I had heard great things about this restaurant for a long time. I tried it last night with my girlfriend for my birthday and it was amazing. We had an 8:30 reservation so didn't do the 10 course primarily because it would have taken too long. We did the 6 course option which was delicious filling. The pumpkins desert was probably my favorite item. They have these weird cubbies where you can sit.. we were first sat there and then moved to a normal table. At the cubby when we first sat there were dirty napkins on our bench which isn't what you want at a place like this. Everything else was great though
Wow, we really had a nice evening at Jean Georges. Been on my list to come here for a while and it didn't disappoint. Roger, our server, was excellent and made some great recommendations. We did the 10 course tasting and enjoyed every morsel. Service, ambiance, food all top notch. Definitely deserving of it's 2 Michelin stars. I also highly recommend having the Chocolate Martini, it's a very unique take on it.
