Food was an interesting fusion of various Aegean in an elegant environment. Menu categories were not the best for a couple. Service was inexperienced, but friendly. In front of the house could not have taken care that we were there. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Iris:
Food was excellent. One of best Greek salads we’ve had. A little expensive overall though. Would like to see a few more appetizer options including spanakopita. View all feedback.
Wonderful experience all around. Great service, delicious and interesting food selection and warm atmosphere. Near theatre district too which was a bonus!
We were welcomed warmly (with happy birthdays to my husband) and brought to a great table that seemed extra special for our special occasion. Our waiter was friendly, very helpful with wine suggestion and tasting. The food was overall beautiful and delicious. Standouts were the grilled octopus and fried eggplant. Both fantastic. The french fries--billed as the best in NYC by our waiter--were just odd. We sent them back once but the second try made them hotter, but never crisp. They had a strange spongey texture that we figured was due to the sous vide process we were told they underwent before frying.
Excellent food. Server very attentive and well informed. Will definitely go back myself and recommend Iris to others.
Loud food was ok clientele was loud and lame wouldn't go again
Food, cocktails, service, and ambience are exceptional. My husband and I have dined here a number of times and always enjoy the experience.
