While some dishes vary in flavor intensity—from delightful seafood linguini to a disappointing tilapia—most diners praise the authentic Italian fare, including delicious lasagna and risotto. The attentive staff ensures a smooth dining experience, although occasional lapses in service occur during busy hours. Located conveniently near Lincoln Center, it’s an ideal spot for a comforting meal before a show. Overall, Il Violino combines great food, ambiance, and commendable service for a memorable outing.
We have eaten here for years. Food is wonderful and service is great and so pleasant!
Il Violino opens early enough to enjoy a leisurely and delicious lunch/brunch before attending the ballet or opera at Lincoln Center. The food and service is perfect.
Attended early dinner. Few people at restaurant. Quiet and very attentive waitress, however, never gave specials which we heard another wait person giving at another table while we ate. Also, became less attentive as more diners arrived. Shrimp scampi was very tasty and enjoyed. Branzino was lacking in flavor tho accompanying lemon helped.
Il Violino is conveniently located near Lincoln Center and opens at 11 am for lunch or brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. A friend suggested this restaurant to us, and we have been regulars ever since.
The restaurant offers excellent food and service in a relaxed atmosphere with a fantastic location.
