Contribute FeedbackWhile still being a good place to enjoy Hakata-style hotpot, a number of changes have been noted at this NYC restaurant. Reviews mention concerns over shrinking food portions, a change in flavors, and a sense of rushed service. Despite this, the authentic hotpot experience keeps customers coming back. Positive comments highlight the delicious food, excellent service, and unique dishes like foie gras Inari sushi and garlic soy tonsoku. While some reviewers have noticed a decline in service quality, the overall consensus is that this restaurant remains a go-to spot for top-notch Japanese cuisine in NYC.
This is the must in NYC Dontaku pot is The best hotpot i ever had. Make a reservation before coming Price is reasonable and Pearl the server, she is cute really helpful.
Delicious hot pot for 2 healthy and savory with a nice kick from the chile peppers in the pot. Afterwards you should order the bibimbap option where they add rice to the leftover broth and veggies and cook it up into a delicious creamy second course will definitely be back. Lovely service, too.
Excellent food and fast, friendly service. They had a champagne-like drink made with sake and jelly that was delicious and a little strange (in a good way). Visits here are always memorable. We have the hot pot and have enjoyed every one so far.
The most delicious Japanese food I've ever had. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The service was great, and food arrived in a timely manner. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We love this restaurant- it's ambiance is perfectly balanced with the superb presentations of the star of the dinner- pig- cooked in a multitude of ways- a fun, easy going yet intimate dining experience- excellent sakè selection , comfortable noise level, attentive service, and perfectly cooked dishes- we don't eat here as often as we should!
