What delicious food on the Upper West Side! The cuisine is authentic and flavorful. The service was friendly and efficient, and the bar where we enjoyed our evening drinks had a great atmosphere. It was the perfect complement to the overall experience. We're definitely considering going back for dinner on a Monday! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Guacamole Taqueria:
the meal was $130 for 2 margaritas, 2 beers, chips and guacamole (the bland and chips were stele), queso fundito (very oily), and chimichangas. the food and service was absolutely not worth the money. the server caught us for our orders! I couldn't believe it. the man does not belong in the hospitality. I never write these critikens, but would like to convince them of this experience. Don't go! View all feedback.
I was a little underwhelmed by my experience here. I came with my family to dinner on a Friday night after work. first we arrived in the happy hour, but our waiter did not inform us about it. only after my man had asked if they had any HH specialties, the waiter informed us about the drinks specialties after his watch. the frozen margaritas were really good! second, the worth it is not worth it definitiw. three tacos for $18 is a bit much. the tacos were delicious. I had the cloaks and my husband had the steak and swirl. it was really good. my son had the chicken pliers meal and he didn't like it. actually, that was the first time he didn't eat chicken teeth from a restaurant. they had no salt, and the chicken was dirty. he has barely eaten! Overall we felt that the price point for three tacos was high. it should have been 3 for $12, at least during hh. the worst was the guac! I came especially for the guac, because if a place called guacamole, the take is the guac is really good! such a disappointment and a waste of money. first my man and I were taken back from the little one. the guac had only swirling. no tomato or salt! it had no taste. it was just smashed avocados! when we asked the waiter about the tomaten, he said it was very small cut, but it wasn't. we showed him a picture of her website as they were the guac, with tomaten, and he asked if the picture was taken from her website. for $14, I would expect a larger mortar pot. it is as if you eat the few chips that then have to order more chips to finish your guac. so not worth it.
We started with tortilla chips and water while we looked over the menu. A minute later, the waitress returned to ask for our drink orders before we had even finished reading the menu. When we finally ordered our drinks—which had some unusual names—she brought them to our table without telling us which was which. We had to call her back to clarify, and then I discovered that my drink was not very good at all; in fact, it was almost undrinkable. For our meals, the waitress mixed up our orders and gave my partner the wrong dish. Frustrated, we decided to request the check. The food was overpriced, and when my partner placed the money in the bill folder, I told him we hadn't left yet because I wanted to use the restroom. While I was standing up, the waitress came and picked up the bill folder without asking if we needed change or anything else. Overall, I would not recommend this place! The service was terrible, and the food and drinks didn't taste good either.

Came here with friends on 5 de mayo supposed it was a good choice because of the festivity. However, nope it wasn’t at all. Upon arrival we received a very dry greet when mentioning my reservation they repeatedly claimed I didn’t have one. I went on to mention it had been done via opentable all of a sudden they found it on a separate system. Nowhere on their website had it said anything about brunch not being a thing on 5 de Mayo. The service was soo delayed it almost seemed like our waitress was not even happy to serve us. I am HUGE on mexican food this was unfortunately not authentic, drinks were okay. I will not be going back.
