The Grilled Lamb Chops, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Tiramisu are still standout dishes, accompanied by a noteworthy Malbec. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for a date night or family gathering, with attentive and knowledgeable service. While some reviewers found the portion sizes small or experienced issues with specific dishes, overall the restaurant receives high praise for its top-notch food and warm ambiance. If you're looking for a reliable Italian spot with great food and wine, Gennaro's comes highly recommended.
Probably my favorite Italian restaurant on the UWS. Old school vibe with great food and wine. My wife and I are frequent customers. Can’t go wrong on the menu.Food: 5/5
Ate dinner here for the first time and the food is amazing. Layers of flavors and sophisticated menu options. I had the braised organic chicken with capers and currants and flourless chocolate cake for dessert as I’m gluten free. Delish. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
Went here for a birthday dinner. Nice italian place, not great not bad. My Seabream dish was delish but my sister’s pasta was basically tasteless. We waited a long time for dinner because someone ordered a porkchop and apparently that takes much longer ? Waiter was nice, service was slow.
Food was tasty but tiny portion of chicken. Salads good and large. Service impersonal and obvious neglect once we weren’t having alcohol. With so many great Italian restaurants in Manhattan…
Atmosphere very pleasant. Food was fair I ordered pasta w sardines which turned out to be few pieces crumbled sardines over pasta. Not a lot of choices of pasta either. For dessert I ordered tartufo which is a ball of ice cream covered in chocolate what I got was 1/2 ball of melting ice cream for $15. Rip off. Won’t returnFood: 3/5
