Fig Olive was not a good dining experience. The restaurant has a cool vibe, but that's where it ends NYC has too many good places to waste on this place. The service was the worst we've received at any NYCspot. The staff said they were short staffed so that's understandable, but then why not treat diners with some respect and give them a free round of drinks after they waited 35 minutes for one?????? The food was mediocre at best. This place needs a reset. More than disappointing.
Great great bread. Amazing house rose. We liked the entrees, but underwhelmed with the crostini. The bronzino was a winner!
We had an early dinner so the overall service we received was excellent. Our server was very attentive and pleasant, food was well prepared. The restaurant is beautiful!
