While some diners rave about the guacamole and flavorful tacos, others critique the food quality, stating certain dishes fall short. The service, however, consistently receives praise, with particular commendation for staff members who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. Despite mixed reviews on ambiance—some find it too loud or cold—the restaurant appeals to patrons seeking a lively spot to enjoy Mexican cuisine. Overall, Dos Caminos remains a noteworthy option amidst the chaos of the city.
Don't be fooled from the outside that this is small, as they have a bigger downstairs eating area. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Great to chat with too! The atmosphere was really chilled, music playing but not so loud that you couldn't have conversations with people. There was a good range of food on offer and reasonably priced. The food was nicely presented and good to eat. Really loved my churros, as dessert is my favourit part of the meal!
Let me start by saying great scenic environment I definitely felt the vibe of this Hispanic restaurant. Meals were amazing from the appetizer which was pulled pork nachos to the main course the sizzling fajitas which was my order I like how it comes out still cooking, my wife had a steak avocado salad and we also had birria tacos which were delicious. I will definitely recommend this place for families or for couples and friends who like the night life the vibe is amazing.
The most amazing service and food we experienced in NYC. It was a rough day of travel that resulted in a kiddo crying at the table. Jason G. swooped right in easing the situation and offering compassion. That meant the world to us. Jason G. Then gave several drink and food suggestions on the menu based upon our likes and dislikes of food. We took all of his advice and we were not disappointed. The fajitas, guacamole, shrimp enchiladas and nachos were ALL so amazing! The churros at the end…ensure you make room. Highly suggest Dos Caminos for their staff and food! Thanks again Jason G. and Dos Caminos for being so amazing!
Good options for appetizers and entrees. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and meals on the menu and she was attentive with going back and forth to make sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were good and my meal was tasty. The dinner portion was big, I ended up taking half of it home. My only complaint was the bathroom in the basement. My friend and I went to use the restroom and it smelled really bad, plus the stalls were not private and enclosed. It was weird and uncomfortable so we left not using it. Anywhere that you spend your money to have drinks and meals should provide decent bathroom stalls for guests/customers. Maybe they have another upstairs, I would hope so. Other than that, maybe I would eat there again.
Decent food,. Place was super cold, needs to turn thar heater up, Service was alright I guess, ordered the unlimited drinks and i was served 1 drink only, we asked some recommendations and directions for the shopping mall and staff gave is the New York treatment. Good guacamole though
