Good place for a fast casual Indian meal. All ordering is done via tablet and you can customize every part of your meal including spice level. The food, while tasty, is swimming in oil. Avoid the whole wheat Naan at all costs... It was like brittle cardboard. There used to be a couple of other locations (back when it was still Indikitch) but now there are only three across Manhattan. What Nicole L doesn't like about Deep Indian Kitchen:
I was literally just telling someone how delicious this food was until mid conversation I realized they gave me chicken instead of the vegan substitute. I am so sad it took me so long to realize because I consumed a bunch of food my body cannot tolerate and instead of apologizing for giving me the wrong order they insulted me for not knowing right away their mistake.... I asked for my money back and she refused until... View all feedback.
I came in expecting disappointment, but I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors were actually pretty good and somewhat authentic. They give a ton of food for the price. The biryani was more veg-dominant and tasted much healthier than traditional biryani, but it was not bad. The crispy onions on the side were nice. The live fire feast was very worth it and my favorite of two dishes.Chicken was on the dry side and the naan was a tad bit too hard but for the price point with the flavors and the amount of food they give, I'm happy that those are my only issues.Would come again if I was in the area. A very good alternative to Chipotle.
If you thought their frozen food was good, try this place out. The combos are amazing and very satiating. Must try the chicken dosa.Food: 5/5
Great food. Rotis could be better... Staff could be more courteous. Overall good dining experience. Must visit for Indian food. Reasonably priced food. Great use of tech for food ordering.Vegetarian options: Great options for veg food with good tasteKid-friendliness: Basic.

The food here used to be good, but for the last few years (since Deep bought the chain), both service quality of food have been deteriorating. From my recent experience, all sauces taste the same, and the staff does not care about the quality of the food. I was served a sloppy tangy kathi roll and a cold dosa. Spend your money somewhere else. There are a ton of Indian restaurants in New York City.
