What Sally E Fisher likes about Coogan's:
I have been going to Coogan's for 21 years and never been disappointed in the food or the service. Yesterday, I had Bangers and Mash and ate every bite. I think their Big Brunch Special is the best deal in Upper Manhattan. Never go wrong with a burger, my personal favorite is Captain Jack's. Very friendly and relaxed environment. View all feedback. What Dominique Hartmann doesn't like about Coogan's:
Under whelming food. Very disappointing chicken pot pie, small portioned fish platter and overall EXTREMELY LOUD. We won't return. It's definitely a BAR SCENE with people who get louder and louder as they continue to drink. View all feedback.

read moreCoogan's is a popular spot in Washington Heights with a rich history dating back to 1985. Some customers found the food underwhelming and the atmosphere extremely loud, but others absolutely love the place. The zucchini wheels, chicken pot pie, salmon benedict, and sangria are highly recommended. The owner, Dave, is known for his warm and welcoming personality. The service is exceptional, with attentive wait staff even during busy times like St. Patrick's Day. Coogan's is a favorite among the running community and a great spot to watch sports games. Whether it's a casual lunch, bridal shower, birthday celebration, or Sunday dinner, Coogan's continues to be a gem in the neighborhood. With its authentic Irish pub vibe and delicious food, it's no wonder this spot remains a Washington Heights staple.
