We enjoyed everything we ordered at the restaurant, but the braised fish, pickled vegetables, and eggplant were especially delicious. The portion sizes were also very generous. View all feedback.
What Erin A doesn't like about Chow House:
The delivery was excellent - the order was accurate and everything arrived hot. However, the lo mein was a bit lacking in flavor, with the mushrooms tasting more like sesame oil than vinaigrette. The shrimp and broccoli, as well as the chicken wraps, were just average. On the positive side, the scallion pancake was tasty. View all feedback.
Restaurant. went with my mom. so happy with our experience! got hot sour suppe, and mapo tofu, both had exactly the right amount of seasoned, and swallowed all the fish w/ asian chili! can not wait to taste more dishes! delicious! only suggestion: wish they had more hot tea options, and maybe a dessert option;
This is my favorite Chinese place in the villages. it really tastes like the oma is someone in the kitchen. I love their spicy dishes and excellent martinis!
I don't usually write cripples, but this is actually some of the best Chinese dishes in manhattan and I need to know everyone. honestly even better and more authentic than sichuan mountain house in Eastdorf. mapo tofu, chongqing huh, picked fish stew are all like actually legit (I am Chinese) and amazing.
Great vegetarian options! came with my mother and sisters who are vegetarian at 8 o'clock on a Friday night. we waited less than 25 minutes for a table. we ordered mapo tofu 7/10- sautéed green beans 9/10 (a little salty veg fried rice 5/10- veg dumplings steamed 5/10- spicy fried shrimp 8/10- szechuan pork dumplings 8/10- spring rolls 9/10- dan dan nudeln without pork 6/10The personal was also great. my sister has a non-visible back injury, so we had to ask for a seat change in order to record them and they changed our table without annoying. definitiw a sweet little spot, with good eating.
Ordered through Grubhub and got my confirmation text at 6:03PM that said that food would arrive between 6:40-6:50PM. It arrived at 6:15PM! On a Saturday night, mind you. Everything was awesome. I just thought the DanDan noodles were super cheap w the meat- I’d say less than 1/4 cup. But considering I got the food in seconds and everything else was awesome, I will absolutely eat in/out again.
