Contribute FeedbackCarmines is a bustling New York City restaurant known for its family-style dishes best shared among large groups. While the service can be hit or miss, the food itself is a highlight, with dishes like eggplant parmigiana and chicken saltimbocca receiving high praise. However, issues with order accuracy and rushed service do occasionally arise. Despite some missteps, Carmines remains a popular choice for pre-theater dining, offering delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Carmines provides a quintessential New York dining experience, though it may not be the best option for a quiet, intimate meal.
I reserved a table inside and was offered a table outside. The service was slow, my plate arrived and we did not have the knife and fork. I had to get up and asked twice. I ordered a spaghetti ragú and received a spaghetti with meatballs and it was terrible.
Love it coming back soon. My family is planing the next trip over there
Never disappoints me my fav in the city food was great
Huge portions family style sharing. Good option for pre theater dining. Too noisy.. Too crowded .. friendly waiter
