I lived in New York for two years, and this place was my favorite spot for gluten-free pizza. I returned last week for my rescheduled graduation and didn't realize how much I missed it until I came back. My only complaint is the price. My friend ordered one slice for about $4, while I got two—a vegan gluten-free slice and a cheese slice—for $14. I suppose that's just how it goes when you have allergies, but it’s a bi... What Grace Park doesn't like about Cafe Viva Gourmet Pizza:
I walked in once without realizing it was a vegan/vegetarian specialty pizza place and ordered a slice of La Nonna. Wow. The first bite was incredible—so flavorful and rich. After my review two weeks ago, Tony, the owner, graciously reached out to me regarding my order. When I ordered a pizza last night, I had a pleasant conversation with the person I usually talk to, who was as friendly as ever. As always, the pizza was delicious!
I visited this restaurant without realizing it specialized in vegan and vegetarian pizzas, and I ordered a La Nonna pizza. Oh my goodness, the first bite was amazing—so flavorful and rich! A week later, I ordered a whole cake for delivery, but to my disappointment, it turned out to be quite salty. I returned to try an individual pizza slice, and it was good once more; however, this time it was much thinner. It seems that consistency isn't their strong suit, but I’m willing to take the chance to enjoy that first delicious pizza again.
I love that they offer vegan and gluten-free pizza, which is quite rare. I really appreciate them for that! However, the pizza I had was extremely bland—not due to being vegan or gluten-free. Despite all the toppings, it had very little flavor (and I don't have COVID). I ordered the Zen vegetarian pizza, which I cannot recommend, but I may try a different option next time.

However, the pizza I tried was very bland—not due to it being vegan or gluten-free—but considering all the toppings, it lacked flavor. It tasted like nothing, and I assure you, I don’t have COVID. I ordered the Zen vegetarian pizza, and I can't recommend it. That said, I might give another option a try next time.
