Cafe Medi - New York

This place more or less serves as the main restaurant/bar for the hotel located in the same building. It offers such a beautiful ambiance, especially in the daytime when lots of sunlight come through the glass ceiling. The food and service are okay level though. Not bad but nothing particularly great about them.

We had lunch there on a weekday. We couldn't sit in the bright, airy, spacious area that made us come to this restaurant in the first place. Why? Because it's a coworking space... So you're having lunch in the least interesting part of the restaurant, while people are taking video conference calls on their laptop a few tables away from you. Not a great atmosphere... Service was very, very, slow. Food, which is way more American than Mediterranean, was decent, but for both our meals the meat was too cooked. Overall it felt the place doesn't live up to its full potential.

Pretty place and a little underrated than it is on Yelp. My friends and I went there for the happy hour... food and drinks are on point. Loved this drink called playa tulum- which was a tequila Based drink, felt like it had pineapple milk or so but was sooo good and strong. Also in the happy hour menu. It is a bit on the expensive side though- this place. The decor is gorgeous. U can’t get over the ambience. The food is great. Croquettes were the highlight of our day. Even the hummus plate was good.

SOO GOOD! Every court was excellent! I would normally not get Steak in a Mediterranean restaurant, but it was good over my expectations. Cooked on perfection, buttery and delicious! I loved each of the appetizers, I wouldn't even be able to choose a favorite.

Good spot for Mediterranean fare. The shrimp in garlic oil was delicious. The dips were good. We were not a huge fan of their main dishes, but the dessert was great. Our server was a bit rude and didn’t seem to care about serving us. However, the manager was extremely nice and more than compensated for the initial bad service, so it ended on a very positive note!
