What Mariam K doesn't like about By The Way Bakery:
The babka was awful so dry and stale. It was a gift and Im honestly embarrassed I gave such a horrible dessert to someone. Quite annoying too seeing as its so expensive?? Please do better. View all feedback.
DIESES REVIEW is for this step. I've been ordering cakes for several celebrity events for years. The UES industry tends to be one that will shed an unwinded taste in my mouth and digestive system akin. The staff is usually rude, which doesn't bother me because I'm in and out. But today I decided to review how this industry treats its loyal customers. The girl on the front with long dark braided hair should not work in customer service. I was there to pick up an order, and since I was waiting for my turn, because the other short haired girl did not realize that my rain was drowned. The long haired girl said to me terrible without looking at me. Didn't even greet me after I greeted her politely. I think she'd work well with DOC. After she gave me my order. I said thank you, and there was not even one you're welcome. No smile. Nothing.
Gluten-free? Dairy free? Unbelievable, yes. Also, yes! Great little find in the city. Had also enjoyed more economical options, but it was still a great experience for some snap and go treats. The Brownies are a favorite fan for one reason. Go!
Love, love, love their chocolate truffles and lemons poppy cake. My colleague brought her cake one day and I've been in love with her cakes ever since! Believe me, I don't have a sweet tooth and I'm a picky eater for pastries. Their chocolate truffle cakes taste silky smooth, creamy and rich, and moderately sweet. I don't get vibes artificial flavors and can have many slices of their cakes without feeling too much. Not only that their cakes are also gluten-free, milk free and kosher friendly. I placed a customized birthday cake with them and the communication was easy. The guests were amazed by the beauty and taste of the cake. Their prices especially for the custom cakes were also good value that I did my homework and compared all bakery shops on the Upper East Side. Consider their taste, appearance and overall quality, you cannot be better. I highly recommend them!
The desserts are so delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. With in a months-long time I have already bought two birthday cakes from them, both were simply delicious and exactly what I expected, I can't wait to share it with my family that doesn't try milk for free or gluten-free cakes. Yesterday I also bought the slice of the daily cake, which was coconut cloud that melted it in my mouth.
Great presentation! Everything in the shop is gluten-free, which you'd never guess by looking. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I picked up a last-minute birthday cake, and they graciously added a birthday message. Candles and cards at the counter are incredibly convenient. The gf birthday girl gave the cake 5 stars. Great experience!
