Afternoon tea was particularly enjoyed, though some diners found the food mediocre and service lacking. Special occasions were made memorable by attentive servers, unexpected gifts, and a charming atmosphere. Overall, BG offers a unique and historical setting with excellent service, making it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a special experience in the heart of New York City.
Tried afternoon tea. Sandwiches, SconeTaste and chocolate… everything is so taste. Welcomed and served by kind staff. View from the window is so nice. Room Interior is elegant. Water glass design are different by person, interesting. Would like to visit again.
First sat at a really poor table despite a reservation for a couple of weeks and a request. Before ordering another hostess randomly (we did not complain) stopped by and asked if we would like to move to a different table by the window. Not sure why we were in the main traffic flow to begin with and at a table that was very exposed.
Lovely and yummy. Prices high but worth it! Beautiful view and treated like royalty
Perfect i all ways other than the noise level.. I would suggest to come early or late.
I took my sister for the afternoon tea to celebrate her 40th birthday. We had mentioned we were vegetarians. The food was not good at all. I have been to many places around the world for afternoon tea; this was the worst experience. The food was so disappointing. All they had for vegetarians was deviled eggs, egg sandwiches along small medallions of open cucumber and cream cheese bites. The deserts were stale and not good at all. Again, going and experiencing high tea at the London Ritz and seeing how well they do it, BG was such a bad experience. Also, BG did not offer refills. I was most disappointed in the quality and choice of the food. Not going back and will not recommend it to anyone.
