Absolutely lovely meal: the carbonara was especially noteworthy. A bit loud, even for a Saturday night, but that was largely due to the table of 8 next to us. Service was impeccable. View all feedback.
What PhilipB doesn't like about Primi:
After taking our order the server essentially ignored us the rest of the evening. It was busy but not that busy. Couldn't get drinks for nearly an hour. Took about 45 minutes between courses. Just awful service. 30 years of dining out In Manhattan and this is hands down the worse. No apologies offered by server or management. Food was good, but will never go back. View all feedback.
I keep a running list of restaurant that I want to try on my phone and bar primi has been there for a long time. I am not sure why it took us so long to finally stop by considering I fit it quite often, especially when the bus to home ride. the Noho-Essenschaft by andrew carmellini, on the corner of the bowery and joey ramone place, receives its name from ‘primi piatti’, which translates to the Pasta course. in two days the restaurant has a rustic and local atmosphere. there is a full bar on the ground floor dining room with plenty of seating throughout the building. we sat on the second story, which was preferable due to the somewhat more generous distance definitiw.
You can't say enough about this place. especially known for his pasta dishes, the appetizers, cocktails and other main dishes were delicious. the services were great and for a unique Italian experience, I highly recommend.
Great brunch selection! The pitchers of mimosas were a little on the smaller side though
The meatballs were very good. Service is very fast and server was nice, great ambiance
