I got a garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was a very filling and yummy bagel $5.39). Honestly, I feel like $5.39 is a lot for a bagel but it was very good and something I would get once in awhile. I would definitely come back to try different bagels! View all feedback.
What Frank S doesn't like about Bagel Express Ii:
Terrible bagels. I should have checked the reviews first but I was pressed for time and I just ran in for a quick lunch. Big mistake. I can't completely describe the taste other than to say their bagels hadno flavor and are too chewy. I mean it would not brake down in my mouth. It wouldn't desolve. Typical low quality New York bagel. Customer setvice was good. Otherwise I'd only give them 1 star. My advice to others,... View all feedback.
Walked inside and it felt hotter inside than outside. It's 86 outside. I turned around immediately and walked right back out, never to return.
Wow, Iam so happy I didn't read the reviews before eating breakfast here. Me and my mom were in the area and I was starving. I usually get a toasted bagel with butter and jelly but my stomach needed something heartier. They have a nice variety of bagels and different flavored cream cheese. My mom ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a roll. I had the breakfast platter of scrambled eggs with cheese. homefries. turkey bacon and whole wheat toast. They have about 4 table and chairs inside and outdoors. It was a beautiful sunny morning so we ate outside. Normally I'm mindful of people watching me I ear but today I didn't care. lol. My food was delicious and hit the spot. My peppermint tea was nice and hot and my mom enjoyed her coffee. I usually take pics of my food but the hunger took over today, lol. The two guys in the deli were very friendly and kind. They have a bathroom for customers only. I would definitely support this business again when I'm in the area.
Bagel Express II has been on my to go list for a while. I decided to stop in and get a feel for the customer service and atmosphere. I was impressed by all the employees wearing masks. The tables were clean and there's lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have plenty of cream cheese selections and bagels to choose from also. There's lots of menu items and pastries. The coffee is reasonably priced as well as the food. The restroom is for customers only which is a good thing. The men behind the counter are very nice. It's busy even late morning after customers rushing to work have ceased. I came back a couple days after my initial visit to have a bagel and cream cheese. The same man behind the counter was so nice. I heard how nice he speaks to all the customers. I rested at a table before ordering. He said I could sit inside to eat. It's windy and cold today. I decided to take another look at the bagel selection. On the very bottom I spotted the pumpernickel! I already knew I wanted to try their Garlic Herb Cream Cheese. I don't get my bagel toasted because it's got a nice crunch to the outside. The inside of the bagel was moist and delicious. I had enough cream cheese to spread the full bagel and I ate the whole thing. The Garlic Herb Cream Cheese here is very good. I'd definitely get this bagel and cream cheese again. It's $5.17 and well worth every penny! I can't beat that for my brunch today!! I'm recommending Bagel Express II. Don't pay any attention to their overall two stars rating. It's not in line with my experience. They have a clean restroom too.
Decent NY bagel; tasted fresh, but overall was a little soft. The ordering paying process took too long I would avoid this place if you’re in a hurry.
This small little bagel shop on the UES is just what I was looking for. Quick, affordable, and taste great. They have a good bagel with toppings that are sure to please no matter what your desire is. Stop in and enjoy!
