This cozy jazz lounge, owned by a Japanese individual, offers a great atmosphere for sipping on tasty cocktails and socializing with friends. The music is understated, allowing for easy conversation. The service is top-notch (they even remember your favorite drink!) and regulars have the option to store their own bottle(s) in a personal closet. View all feedback.
What Arvel Gleason doesn't like about B Flat:
Awful experience. Been here a few times. The service is unfriendly and rude. Drinks were overpriced as hell (had the same whiskey at another classier bar for cheaper). As a result of our budget based on regular prices, we could only leave a 5-6% tip. The bartender literally came out and started shouting at us. Got to the point where he even tried to start a fight. Very disappointed. Will not go back and do not recomm... View all feedback.
We had read the other reviews before coming here but were optimistic that some of the 1 and 2 star reviewers were merely bitter and broken individuals who were contemporaneously po[o]r “European” tippers. After waiting at least eight minutes for a drink menu and then repeating myself in escalating volume, the waiter eventually recorded our order...though only to bring champagne instead of one of the “house” cocktail with a name that does NOT rhyme with champagne. Thankfully, after requesting a menu and pointing at the desired drink, he rectified the situation promptly, thus preserving the “flow” of our evening. As time went by, my initial trepidation melted away and the swe[a]t jazz music with the ambiance of real authentic actual Japanese people drinking “Japanese” whisky began to have an impact on us. The aging hipsters in the booth making out like high school juniors (she was grabbing him in places not very sophomoric further buttressed the ambiance and all and in all, but for the harsh lighting (that should have been muted , we had a great experience and will return. Hopefully Roger Sterling is okay with this....Joan would be (and there are doctors here!
This little tucked away underground gem has just the right amount of atmosphere combined with yummy drinks and bites! the staff here is so warm and welcoming. they've got live jazz on certain nights and the vibe is always on point!
The bar is a little hard to find, the door opens to stairs that go down to the basement. There's no cover for the performance and they take reservations. We went here for happy hour drinks and the cocktails are quite tasty (we all liked the Shiso Collins), wish the happy hour price for cocktails is a bit cheaper though.
Stick with the whiskey... cocktails are terrible (1 in 4 was drinkable) . No live music but the recorded music actually included the Sara McLaughlin dog commercial song. The ambience is similar to a church basement. With so many great places don't waste your time here.
Good evening. Excellent cocktails, good food. Music and wonderful atmosphere. Recommended.
