The food was excellent. Atmosphere was not the greatest but I attribute it to maybe going on Monday evening. Overall we had the seafood menu and picked samon and other varieties of fish and it was delicious. Servers were very attentive as well. View all feedback.
What Noelia Rutherford doesn't like about Atto Prime Meats And Seafood:
This is an average hotel restaurant that pretends that it is not an average hotel restaurant. Steak was on average. The host and the bartender did no favors for themselves or the restaurant by hypting the chef ex Peter Luger, the food she porterhouse and the service 'Luiz is the best server in Manhattan'. Bringing a sushi menu with a steak menu shows that it also specializes. The decor must be 10 or 20 years old: war... View all feedback.
Food was outstanding, service was attentive and professional and chef was courteous and made sure he visited the guests. Sushi as a an appetizer on the house was superb.
Unexpected surprise since they’ve only opened for a week. Usually newly opened restaurants have kinks to work out but Atto was a pleasant surprise. Great service and food- the aged porterhouse was cooked to perfection. Same par as Lugar’s and Wolfgang’s and definitely recommended!!
Not sure what at which restaurant some reviewers diner, but it wasn't the Atto my guests and I recently experienced, where the food and ambience were outstanding and there were only minor service wobbles. I seldom write reviews, but have made an exception here because we had such a marvelous meal. Indeed, the look of sheer bliss that lit up one friend's face when he tucked into what were fork tender and perfectly cooked lamb chops was unforgettable! The Porterhouse I shared with another frined was beefy perfection and so large, it was lunch for each of us the following day. And our fourth was thrilled with how the kitchen adjusted the sesame seared tune to his personal taste. Service was graciously attentive overall... wobbles were the length of time it took for the crudo and sushi ordered for the table to arrive. They were worth the wait... and perhaps the precise artistry of the chef who fashions them at the sushi bar tucked in the corner was the cause for the delay? Then there was the requested crab cake that morphed into the crab meat cocktail. The luscious looking lumps of meat were so tempting, I didn't bother to point out the error. And they proved just as sweet and tasty as they looked. We were all so happily satisfied with our first two and a half courses, we skipped dessert, so can't opine about the offerings, but can note there was a pleasant buzz in the room from clearly equally pleased patrons.
I think being a new restaurant, there is room for improvement. The appetizers were kind of dissapointing for a high end steak/seafood restaurant. The steak was terrific, but overall ambiance and vibe of the restaurant needs improvement, was kind of dull. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday 7pm kind of odd. Service was ok waiters should be more knowledgeable of the menu (i.e. when we asked what kind of oysters they were, he didn't know). The bathrooms could also use an upgrade they are very old and smell like an airplane bathroom.
For a place that has only been open for 3 weeks, Atto has the making of a winner! Porterhouse was as good as any NYC steakhouse, as were the appy's. Great service by the bar and wait staff as well. May be a tough place to get into once people start dining more often.
